Los Escondidos sits right on Lake Marble Falls, and it’s one of the more private, low-traffic waterfront pockets in Marble Falls — mature trees, oversized lots, and a good number of homes with direct lake access and private boat docks.
I’m Robbie English, Broker of Uncommon Realty, and this is a neighborhood I show often to buyers who want lake access without being in the middle of Marble Falls’ Main Street bustle.
Homes in Los Escondidos
You won’t find a cookie-cutter street here. Architecture ranges from traditional Hill Country limestone to Spanish-style homes with clay tile roofs to newer modern builds with big windows aimed at the water. Many properties include a private boat dock, and lots tend to run larger than what you’d get closer to town, which gives homes here more separation from their neighbors and more mature landscaping.
Buyers here are usually looking for one of two things: a single-level home that’s easy to maintain, or a larger multi-level property with room for guests. Both show up regularly in this neighborhood.
Location and schools
Los Escondidos is a short drive from Main Street Marble Falls, where you’ll find locally-owned restaurants and shops rather than big-box chains, plus grocery stores and medical offices for daily errands. Downtown is walkable and has held onto its small-town character — art galleries, a couple of wineries and breweries, and Johnson Park right on the lake where Backbone Creek feeds in, with picnic areas, hiking trails, and a leash-free dog zone. The area is zoned to Marble Falls ISD.
If waterfront living in this part of the Hill Country interests you, it’s worth comparing a few other Marble Falls communities: Loma Vista, La Ventana, West End, and Mustang Ridge Estates each have a different feel and price point, and I’m happy to walk you through which one fits what you’re after.
