Paloma Lake is a master-planned community in Round Rock, built around a stocked lake with walking trails that wind through more than 200 acres of open space. Homes here started going up in 2007 from builders like David Weekley, Pulte, Taylor Morrison and Coventry, and the neighborhood is fully built out now, so almost everything on the market is resale. Residents get two amenity centers, a resort-style pool, a splash pad, playgrounds and sports courts, on top of the lake itself where you can fish or just walk the trail loop. The community sits in Round Rock ISD and is close to Old Settlers Park and the shopping along US-79. Living in Paloma Lake
Most of the homes in Paloma Lake are single story and two story houses built between 2007 and the early 2010s, generally running from the $400s into the $700s depending on size, lot and how close you are to the water or the greenbelt. Builders included David Weekley, Pulte, Taylor Morrison, Coventry, Ashton Woods, Drees and Plantation Homes, so lot sizes and floor plans vary quite a bit from block to block.
Day to day, the lake and trail system are what set Paloma Lake apart from a lot of other Round Rock subdivisions. There’s catch and release fishing on the lake, a pool and splash pad for the summer, and enough trail mileage that a lot of residents use it for a daily walk or run instead of driving to a park. Old Settlers Park is close by if you want more space, and the neighborhood is zoned to Round Rock ISD schools.
