Oakmont Forest is a small, established neighborhood in Cedar Park off Lakeline Boulevard and Park Street — about 137 homes total, built mostly by Wilshire and Legacy Homes in the mid-to-late 1990s on lots that run larger than what you’ll find in Cedar Park’s newer developments. If you want mature trees and quiet streets over a brand-new build, this is one I show buyers often. Take a look at what’s currently on the market.

Living in Oakmont Forest
Homes here run from about 1,700 to 3,400 square feet, averaging around 2,500 square feet, on lots that average roughly a fifth of an acre — noticeably bigger than a lot of what’s been built in Cedar Park since. The neighborhood is in Williamson County and has an HOA, though the fees are modest and it doesn’t come with shared amenities. Residents lean on Oakmont Forest Park (also called Colby Lane Park) for a playscape, grills, a baseball field, and picnic space. It’s a quiet pocket close enough to Lakeline Boulevard that you’re not far from grocery stores and everyday errands.
Nearby options
Buyers who like Oakmont Forest’s older-tree feel but want more square footage often end up looking at Mason Creek or Reserve at Twin Creeks, both also in Cedar Park. If condos or townhome-style living fit your search better, Park Place at Old Mill is a smaller-footprint option nearby, and Riviera Springs is worth a look if you’re open to newer construction on the other side of town.
