Included below are Anderson Mill homes for sale in Northwest Austin, TX.
Anderson Mill is a large, established community that straddles the Austin and Cedar Park border along US-183. It’s named after Anderson’s Mill, a gristmill built on Cypress Creek by Thomas Anderson in the 1860s, originally a gunpowder mill for the Confederacy before he converted it to grind corn for local farmers. The neighborhood itself was developed mostly through the 1970s and 1980s.

Homes for sale in Anderson Mill
Anderson Mill has a wide range of housing, from smaller starter homes to larger single-family houses on generous lots, most built during that original 1970s-80s development wave. Because it’s been established for decades, you’ll find plenty of homes that have been updated or expanded, alongside others still close to original condition, so pricing and finish levels can vary a lot block to block.
Schools in Anderson Mill
Anderson Mill Elementary is a Round Rock ISD Dual Language and International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme campus, and much of the surrounding neighborhood zones to Round Rock ISD schools. Some pockets closer to the edges zone to Austin ISD or Leander ISD instead, so it’s worth confirming school zoning for a specific address rather than assuming based on the neighborhood name alone.
