Block House Creek is one of the most established master-planned communities in Leander, sitting between Highway 183 and 183A. It was built out from the late 1980s through the early 2000s, so it has more mature trees and landscaping than most of the newer subdivisions nearby.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Managing Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I’d love to help you find the right property here.
Amenities
The neighborhood has two pools — Tumlinson Pool, a zero-entry pool with a three-tiered slide, and Apache Pool, which is heated for year-round swimming — plus a basketball court, playground, sand volleyball court, multiple parks, a baseball field, a disc golf course, and hike-and-bike trails. Tumlinson Park adds tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts. The neighborhood’s community center is Walker House, a historic structure that dates back to 1818.
Schools
Block House Creek is zoned to Leander ISD.
Housing options
Because the neighborhood was built out gradually from the late 1980s into the early 2000s, you’ll find a genuine range of home styles and ages here rather than one uniform look — a mix of traditional and more contemporary designs, mostly on established, tree-lined streets. That variety plus the amenity package is a big part of why it’s stayed one of the more popular spots in Leander for buyers who want more established landscaping than a brand-new subdivision offers.
