Crystal Springs sits off East Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander, between the 183A Toll and Ronald Reagan Boulevard, with a growing strip of commercial development around the Crystal Falls entrance handling most day-to-day errands. The HOA amenities here include a pool, a splash pad, a grilling area, a lounge space, and sidewalks throughout, plus direct access to Lakewood Park — Leander’s newer park, and one of the better reasons to look at this neighborhood specifically.
Kids here are zoned to Leander ISD, typically Pleasant Hill Elementary, Wiley Middle School, and Rouse High School. Being sandwiched between 183A and Ronald Reagan Boulevard means quick access to Cedar Park, Georgetown, and Austin without much backtracking.
Lakewood Park itself is one of the newer additions to Leander’s park system, and having it within walking distance is a real amenity rather than a marketing line — it’s the kind of thing that shows up in resale value when the rest of the neighborhood is otherwise standard suburban tract construction. Combined with the pool and splash pad inside the HOA, families with young kids tend to gravitate toward this section of Leander specifically for that reason.
What to Watch For When You’re Shopping Here
Crystal Springs moves quickly when a home hits the market, in part because of the park access and in part because inventory in this price range doesn’t sit long anywhere in Leander right now. I’d rather get you set up on alerts the moment something new lists than have you scrolling listing sites after they’ve already gone under contract.
Comparing Crystal Springs to Other Leander Neighborhoods
If Crystal Springs doesn’t end up being the right fit, I’d also point you toward Leander Crossing, a smaller, simpler subdivision on the other side of town, or Trails of Shady Oak out on the east side near the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park.
