Georgetown townhomes come in a few different flavors — some tucked into master-planned neighborhoods, some closer to the historic downtown square, some near the San Gabriel River. What they have in common is lower-maintenance living: less yard, more lock-and-leave, which is exactly what a lot of buyers moving to Georgetown are after.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Managing Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I work with buyers looking specifically at Georgetown townhome inventory.
Why Georgetown
Georgetown is the Williamson County seat, roughly 25-30 miles north of Austin, and it’s been one of the fastest-growing cities in the country over the past few years. The historic downtown square — anchored by the 1911 Williamson County Courthouse — is a real draw for buyers who want walkable restaurants and shops, and Blue Hole Park on the San Gabriel River is a few blocks north of the square if you want green space close to town. Georgetown ISD serves the city.
Townhome buyers here are usually trading a bigger yard for proximity — to downtown, to the river trails, or to one of the newer mixed-use developments on the edges of town. If a single-family home in Georgetown is more what you’re after instead, I keep a broader list at Georgetown TX Homes For Sale.
What to Know Before You Buy
HOA structure varies a lot between Georgetown’s townhome communities — some cover exterior maintenance and landscaping, others don’t, and that changes your real monthly cost beyond the mortgage. I go through the HOA docs and resale history with clients before we write an offer, not after. If condos are also on your list, I track those separately at Condos For Sale Georgetown TX.
