Manor is one of the fastest-growing areas in the Austin metro, and it’s a good option if you want new construction and open space without giving up an easy drive into the city. It sits about 12 miles from downtown Austin, with Highway 290 giving direct access in and out. Search the current Manor listings below, and reach out if you want help sorting through the newer communities out here.

Living in Manor
Manor has grown fast over the last several years, and Highway 290 makes commuting into Austin straightforward whether you’re headed in for work or entertainment. It still keeps a welcoming, small-town feel even with all the new development. For parks and green space, Jennie Lane Park is a good spot for live music or a casual outdoor gathering, and ShadowGlen Golf Club has a well-regarded public course for golfers who don’t want to join a private club.
Housing types and neighborhoods in Manor
Manor’s housing stock ranges from brand-new construction to more established homes on larger lots. Several master-planned communities anchor the newer side of the market:
- ShadowGlen: a large community off Highway 290 with an amenity center, a four-acre water park with two pools and a splash pad, and homes zoned to Manor ISD.
- Presidential Glen: part of a cluster of newer Manor ISD neighborhoods that also includes Presidential Meadows, Stonewater, and Kimbro Creek Estates nearby.
- Lagos: a newer development a few minutes from Presidential Glen, with easy access to major highways.
If you’d rather have more space and privacy, there are plenty of homes on the outskirts of Manor with larger yards and mature trees, plus some acreage properties for buyers who want room for a small ranch setup or a custom build while still being close to the city.
Shopping and recreation around Manor
Manor still has some small-town character, but retail and dining have expanded quickly, and Tech Ridge Center and Stone Hill Town Center in nearby Pflugerville are just a short drive away for bigger shopping trips. For outdoor time, East Metropolitan Park has sports fields, hiking trails, and fishing, and McKinney Falls State Park is a short drive away for hiking and camping.
