Northline is Leander’s new downtown district, built around The Brownstone at Northline — upscale townhomes from Novak Brothers Custom Homes that borrow the look of a Chicago or New York brownstone and put it on a Hill Country lot. These are larger than a typical townhome, most running over 3,000 square feet with private elevators and rooftop terraces, and they’re built for buyers who want a lock-and-leave home without giving up space.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and Northline is one of the newer Leander developments I keep an eye on for clients who want something different from the standard suburban floor plan.
What’s around Northline
The district itself is planned around restaurants, retail, and public gathering space, which is a departure from most Leander residential neighborhoods that are purely single-family. It falls under Leander ISD, and its location gives residents a manageable commute to the tech employers along US-183 and the broader Austin metro. If you want to compare it against Leander’s more traditional single-family options, I’d also point you toward Marbella, Mason Ranch, and Pecan Creek — three established Leander communities with more conventional detached homes if a townhome-style lock-and-leave isn’t what you’re after.
Given how new this development is, I’d walk through the HOA structure and any remaining builder warranties with you before you write an offer. If you’re ready to see what’s currently listed here or nearby, search all current Leander-area listings or get pre-approved first.
