Oakwood Glen is an established neighborhood on the south end of Cedar Park, near El Salido Parkway and Hatch Road. It’s zoned to Leander ISD — Pauline Naumann Elementary, then Cedar Park Middle and Cedar Park High — and it’s one of the few neighborhoods in Cedar Park where kids can actually walk or bike to all three schools.
That’s where I come in. I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I’ve helped buyers and sellers move through Oakwood Glen and the rest of Cedar Park.
What makes Oakwood Glen work
Oakwood Glen HOA, Inc. runs a mandatory HOA here with dues around $95 a year, which keeps upkeep affordable while still covering the neighborhood’s parks, picnic area, and playground. There are sidewalks and walk/bike trails throughout, and Milburn Park is close by with a public pool, volleyball courts, a walking track, and soccer fields if you want more than what’s inside the neighborhood itself.
Getting around Cedar Park
Oakwood Glen’s location near El Salido Parkway and Hatch Road puts it on the south side of Cedar Park, which tends to mean a shorter drive into North Austin and the Domain compared to neighborhoods further out toward 183A. Cedar Park itself has grown into one of the larger cities in the metro, and Leander ISD has kept pace by building and expanding campuses to match — Pauline Naumann Elementary, the school most Oakwood Glen kids attend, is a good example of that newer capacity.
Buying or selling here
Because the walk-to-school factor is a real draw for families, homes near the elementary school tend to move faster and hold their value better than ones on the neighborhood’s outer streets — that’s the kind of detail worth knowing before you make an offer or set a list price. If you’re comparing Oakwood Glen against other parts of the city, take a look at Cedar Park homes for sale more broadly.
If you’re selling, the walk-to-school angle and the neighborhood’s trail access are two things worth highlighting in your listing — they’re the details that get a family to picture their actual routine in the home, not just the square footage.
Search all current homes for sale, get pre-approved before you shop, or schedule a buyer consultation whenever you’re ready to talk specifics.
