Savanna Ranch is a newer neighborhood in west Leander, just east of Bagdad Road, with about 373 homes built between 2013 and 2018 by Ryland Homes, Lennar, and Gehan Homes. It’s one of the better options in Leander for buyers who want newer construction and an easy commute — the CapMetro Red Line’s Leander station is about 1.5 miles away, which matters if you’re working downtown or in the Domain.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR/Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I work Leander’s newer subdivisions, Savanna Ranch included.
What you’ll find in Savanna Ranch
Homes here range from about 1,571 to 4,054 square feet, with a median around 2,400, and recent values have run roughly $365,000 to $672,000. The HOA is light — dues run around $210 a year — and covers a community park and playground rather than a long list of amenities, which keeps costs down compared to some of the more amenity-heavy Leander communities. Location is the bigger draw here: you’re close to major grocery stores, shopping, and medical services in west Leander without a long drive.
How Savanna Ranch compares to other Leander neighborhoods
If you want to compare Savanna Ranch against other options nearby, I can also show you Westwood, Mason Creek, or newer construction in Wildleaf — pricing, lot size, and builder all vary enough between them that it’s worth walking through side by side. Or take a look at the full Leander market if you’re not set on a specific subdivision yet.
Leander itself has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the Austin metro for years now, and Savanna Ranch benefits from that growth without the traffic and construction that comes with living right in the middle of a brand-new master-planned community. Because the neighborhood was built out by three different builders over a five-year span, you’ll see more variation in floor plans and lot layout than in a subdivision built all at once by a single builder — worth keeping in mind if a specific layout matters to you.
