Woods of Brushy Creek is a quiet, tree-covered neighborhood of roughly 700 homes built mostly from the mid-1980s through the mid-2000s. It sits in Williamson County just off Highway 45, so you’re a short drive from I-35 and the rest of Round Rock, but the streets themselves feel more like an established Hill Country pocket than a subdivision. Homes here run from around 1,600 to 3,400 square feet, and you’ll find a real mix of one-story ranch layouts and two-story homes on wooded lots.

What Living in Woods of Brushy Creek Is Actually Like
Kids here are zoned to Round Rock ISD, and the neighborhood’s mature trees and rolling terrain give it a settled, established feel compared to newer master-planned communities further out. There are walking trails along Brushy Creek itself, and you’re close enough to Round Rock’s shopping and restaurants along I-35 and 620 to run errands without much of a drive.

Because the neighborhood was built out over roughly two decades, lot sizes and floor plans vary more than you’d see in a single-phase subdivision. That’s good news if you want more yard or a specific layout — just know that renovation history and age of major systems (roof, HVAC) can differ a lot from one house to the next, so I always recommend a thorough inspection regardless of how updated a home looks. If you’re also looking at nearby Woods at Four Points, the two neighborhoods are close by but have a different feel — Four Points sits closer to the lake, while Brushy Creek is more centrally located near Round Rock’s core.
