The Cape is a gated section of Horseshoe Bay just past the Horseshoe Bay Yacht Club, right on Lake LBJ, and it’s one of the neighborhoods I point buyers to when they want water access without needing the acreage of a full waterfront estate. Lake LBJ is a constant-level lake, so the water views and dock access here don’t disappear during drawdown season the way they can on some other Highland Lakes.

What You’ll Find in The Cape
Homes here range from lakeside cottages to larger custom builds, most designed to take advantage of the water views rather than compete with them. The Cape sits in Llano County, on the southeastern edge of Horseshoe Bay, about six miles southwest of Marble Falls — close enough for a quick H-E-B run, far enough to stay quiet.
Golf is part of the draw for a lot of Horseshoe Bay buyers. Horseshoe Bay Resort runs several championship golf courses in the area, along with a yacht club, marinas, and dining that residents of The Cape can access without a long drive. For groceries, healthcare, and everyday errands, most Cape residents head into Marble Falls, about a ten-minute drive.
