Lighthouse Drive is one of the waterfront streets in Horseshoe Bay, right on Lake LBJ, and it’s one of the addresses I get asked about most when buyers want direct water access rather than just a lake view from up on a hill. Homes here range from smaller cottages to larger estates, but the common thread is proximity to the water — many have private docks.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Horseshoe Bay, and I work the Horseshoe Bay waterfront market regularly, including Lighthouse Drive.
What’s typically for sale on Lighthouse Drive
You’ll find a range on this street — contemporary builds alongside more traditional Hill Country styles, some with private docks and boat access, others set back with a more wooded, private lot. Floor plans tend toward open layouts with large windows to take advantage of the water, and many homes include outdoor living space built for entertaining: covered decks, outdoor kitchens, and the like.
If you want a quieter, more secluded property, there are homes further back from the water with more tree cover and privacy, still an easy walk to the lake.
Location and access
Horseshoe Bay spans Burnet and Llano counties on Lake LBJ, roughly six miles southwest of Marble Falls and about 50 miles from Austin via Highway 71. Depending on the exact address, school zoning can fall under Marble Falls ISD, Burnet CISD, or Llano ISD — I’ll confirm the district for any specific property before you get too attached to it.
Lighthouse Drive is close to Horseshoe Bay Resort’s golf courses and marina, so even if you’re not buying directly on the water, you’re minutes from it.
Working with me on Lighthouse Drive
Waterfront inventory here is limited and doesn’t sit long when it’s priced right, so if Lighthouse Drive is on your list, I can set you up with alerts the moment something new comes up. To see what else is available in Horseshoe Bay beyond this one street, my community guide covers the full range, and Bay Country is worth a look too if you want golf-course access along with proximity to the water. If it’s specifically the view you’re after rather than a dock, I’d also compare Horseshoe Bay homes for sale with a view and Horseshoe Bay single-story homes, both a short drive from Lighthouse Drive.
Reach out and let’s talk about your budget and what matters most — direct waterfront, dock access, or just being close to the lake.
