Stillwood Estates is one of the quieter subdivisions I show buyers in Marble Falls — a neighborhood of custom and semi-custom homes on larger-than-typical lots, without the packed-in feel of a lot of newer Hill Country subdivisions. If you want more space than you’ll find closer to downtown Marble Falls but still want an easy drive into town, it’s one I point people toward.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, based here in the Texas Hill Country.
Living in Marble Falls
Marble Falls is the retail, dining, and services hub for Burnet County, so even from a quieter subdivision like Stillwood Estates you’re a short drive from full grocery stores, restaurants, and everyday errands. The town sits on Lake Marble Falls, and it’s a common commute point for people working in Austin — you can get here from the south on Highway 71 or from the north on Ranch Road 1431, both routes locals use daily.
Homes in Stillwood Estates tend to mix Hill Country stone-and-brick exteriors with more modern floor plans inside, which is fairly typical of what’s been built in this part of Marble Falls over the last couple decades. It’s not a gated or amenity-heavy community — the draw is the lot sizes and the quiet, not a clubhouse.
Marble Falls itself has an actual walkable downtown — Main Street has a mix of restored older buildings and newer construction, with restaurants, shops, and lofts built above street-level storefronts. If you want lake access, the town park and boat ramps on Lake Marble Falls are a short drive from most of the subdivisions on this side of town, Stillwood Estates included.
Other Marble Falls neighborhoods worth a look
If Stillwood Estates isn’t quite the fit, I’d also point you toward Villa Vista and Stonehenge West, two other established Marble Falls neighborhoods, or Pecan Valley if you’d rather be closer to the lake. If lakefront resort living with golf access is more what you’re after, Horseshoe Bay is about 15 minutes away.
Reach out anytime — I’m happy to walk you through what’s actually on the market in Stillwood Estates right now and how it stacks up against the other neighborhoods nearby.
