Trails of Shady Oak Homes For Sale

Trails of Shady Oak sits in east Leander, backing up to the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park and accessed off Sam Bass Road. It’s northeast of Pleasant Hill and northwest of Mayfield Ranch, tucked into a part of Williamson County that’s grown quickly but still has direct trail and park access right outside the subdivision.

Homes here range from single-family houses on standard lots to a handful of larger properties with more privacy, and the direct park access is really the defining feature — you’re not driving to a trailhead, you’re walking to one. The park itself runs over 800 acres with soccer and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a football stadium with a 400-meter track, a disc golf course, and a network of hike-and-bike trails, plus a splash pad that runs Memorial Day through Labor Day. That’s a lot of amenity to have as a next-door neighbor instead of a drive.

I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I work Trails of Shady Oak and the rest of Leander regularly.

What to Know Before You Tour

Because Trails of Shady Oak backs directly to a county park, lot placement matters more here than in a typical subdivision — a home backing to the park treeline is a very different property than one backing to another house, even if the floor plans are identical. I walk clients through that distinction before they fall for a listing photo.

Other Leander Neighborhoods to Compare

If Trails of Shady Oak isn’t quite right, I’d also point you toward Crystal Springs, which has HOA pool and park amenities of its own, or Leander Crossing, a smaller, simpler subdivision on the other side of the city. You can see everything currently listed across Leander on my Leander TX homes for sale page.

Reach out and I’ll pull current listings and recent comps for Trails of Shady Oak, or walk you through how it compares to the neighborhoods above.
