Cypress Canyon is a smaller pocket of Cedar Park inside the larger Deer Creek Ranch community, and it’s a good option if you want single-family homes on tree-lined streets with an HOA that keeps things looking sharp. Search the current Cypress Canyon listings below, and reach out anytime if you want my take on it versus other Cedar Park neighborhoods.

Location and getting around
Cypress Canyon sits in the northwest part of Cedar Park, with quick access to FM 620, 183, and Highway 45 for commuting toward Austin, Lakeline, or the 183A toll road corridor. It’s also close enough to Lake Travis and the Hill Country that a weekend on the water or a hike isn’t a big production. For day-to-day errands, you’re a short drive from the retail along 183A in Cedar Park and Leander, so grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping aren’t a special trip, just part of the regular routine here.
Schools
The neighborhood is zoned to Leander ISD, with Deer Creek Elementary, Cedar Park Middle School, and Cedar Park High School serving this area.
Amenities
Residents share two community pools, parks, and play areas across Deer Creek Ranch, along with walking and biking trails.
Housing options in Cypress Canyon
Streets here are lined with mature trees, and most lots have well-kept backyards rather than the bare, newly-planted landscaping you see in brand-new subdivisions. It’s a quieter, more settled feel than some of the newer construction going up further out in Leander and Liberty Hill. Because Cypress Canyon is a smaller, mostly built-out section rather than an active new-construction community, you’re mostly looking at resale single-family homes rather than new builds. That means established landscaping and a settled neighborhood feel, but it also means home condition and updates vary more from house to house, worth having someone who knows the area help you evaluate what you’re looking at before you write an offer.
