Carriage Hills is one of the older established neighborhoods in Cedar Park, tucked between Lakeline Blvd and Bagdad Rd, and between Whitestone Blvd and New Hope Rd. Most of the homes here were built between 1990 and 2000, one and two stories, on lots that are noticeably bigger than what you’ll find in Cedar Park’s newer subdivisions. The neighborhood sits in Williamson County and is zoned to Leander ISD, with kids assigned to Giddens Elementary, Running Brushy Middle School, and Leander High School. It’s about 20 miles north of downtown Austin, close enough for a commute but far enough to skip most of the traffic that comes with living closer in.
What homes in Carriage Hills look like
Because most of the inventory dates from the 1990s, you’ll see a good mix of brick exteriors, some with the gabled rooflines and covered front porches that were common in Cedar Park’s builder catalogs at the time. Floor plans tend to be more traditional than the open-concept layouts in nearby newer developments, so if you’re comparing Carriage Hills against newer Cedar Park neighborhoods, expect more defined rooms and, in many cases, a bigger backyard as the tradeoff.
