The Fairways at Crystal Falls is a gated section within the larger Crystal Falls master-planned community in Leander, TX, built around the 6th, 7th, and 8th holes of the Crystal Falls Golf Club. Development here ran from 2005 through the final phases on Ambush Canyon and Long Bow Drive, which wrapped up around 2022.
I’m Robbie English, a broker with Uncommon Realty here in the Austin area.
Living in the Fairways at Crystal Falls
Homes here run from about 2,331 to 4,977 square feet on lots between roughly .20 and 1.3 acres, generally wider than a typical suburban lot, so you’ll find everything from a modest golf-course home to a much larger build within the same neighborhood. Builders active over the years include David Weekley, Mercedes Homes, Highland Homes, Vogel Builders, Giddens Homes, and Andrews Signature Homes, along with several custom builders on the bigger lots. HOA dues run about $77 a month, and that covers the neighborhood’s own tennis courts, clubhouse, and pool, plus access to two additional community centers in Crystal Falls’ Highlands and Boulders sections.
The golf course itself, an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Ted Lockie, runs about 6,654 yards. Whether or not golf is the draw for you, the course frontage is what sets a lot of Fairways homes apart from other parts of Crystal Falls on lot size and view.
Schools and location
The Fairways falls under Leander ISD. Being part of Crystal Falls also means residents can cross-shop nearby Leander neighborhoods depending on budget and lot size, including Ridgewood South and Mason Ranch, both a short drive away.
One thing worth flagging if golf frontage is the reason you’re looking here: not every home in the Fairways actually backs to the course despite the name. Some border the rough or a side fairway rather than a green, so it’s worth confirming exactly what a listing backs up to before you get attached to the photos. And if what you actually want is gated privacy on multiple acres rather than golf frontage, Grand Mesa is the Crystal Falls section built for that.
