Golden Bear Reserve sits inside the larger Horseshoe Bay Resort, which means residents get more than a golf-course view. Lake LBJ is close by for boating and fishing, and the resort itself has dining, a spa, and regular social events, so there’s plenty to do without leaving the area. The streets are lined with mature oaks and the lots roll with the terrain, which keeps the neighborhood from feeling flat the way some newer developments do.

What you’ll find in Golden Bear Reserve ranges from move-in-ready custom builds to open homesites if you’d rather build from scratch. Expect large floor plans, high ceilings, and finishes like hardwood floors and stone countertops throughout, along with windows positioned to catch the golf-course and Hill Country views. Because it’s tied to Summit Rock, a lot of buyers here are golfers first, but the setting works just as well for anyone who wants a quiet, upscale retreat close to Lake LBJ.
Lake LBJ, right down the road, is a constant-level lake managed by the Lower Colorado River Authority, so the water stays navigable year-round rather than fluctuating with rainfall the way some Highland Lakes do. That matters if boating or lake access is part of why you’re looking here in the first place.
