Jonestown’s schools and setting
Part of Jonestown falls inside Lake Travis ISD and part falls inside Lago Vista ISD, which is a detail worth checking on any specific address before you fall in love with a listing — the two districts serve neighboring but different pockets of town. Either way, the town’s identity is tied to the lake: most of the older housing stock sits on lots that were originally platted for weekend and retirement cabins before Jonestown incorporated and grew into a full-time community.

Because Jonestown built out gradually rather than as one planned community, pool homes range from modest single-story houses with an older in-ground pool to newer construction with a full outdoor kitchen and covered patio built around it.
