Palmera Ridge is a newer master-planned community in Leander that I send a lot of buyers to who want new construction without giving up green space. It sits on a 426-acre site off Ronald Reagan Boulevard, just north of Hero Way, minutes from 183A and FM 1431. Search the current Palmera Ridge listings below, and let me know if you’d like my take on any of them.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty here in the Austin area.
Living in Palmera Ridge
The neighborhood sits on the site of the old Kitty Hill Airport in Williamson County, and it’s being built out to roughly 1,000 homes with an amenity center, community pool, parks, and wet ponds woven through it. Most of the streets are cul-de-sacs, which keeps through-traffic low. Kids here attend Leander ISD, with Tarvin Elementary built right on site, so young families don’t have far to go for drop-off.
Housing options in Palmera Ridge
Several builders, including Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, Chesmar Homes, and Perry Homes, have built in Palmera Ridge, so you’ll see a real range of floor plans and price points rather than one repeated design. If you want a new build with a builder warranty and the ability to pick your own finishes, this is one of the stronger options in Leander right now.
