Your Guide to Oktoberfest in Marble Falls

September 12, 2026 by Robbie English, REALTOR, Broker, ABR, AHWD, BBA, C2EX, CRB, E-PRO, GRI, MRP, PSA, RENE, RPR, SFR, SRS, TAHS, TBS, TLS

Marble Falls’ fall calendar used to have a gap between LakeFest in early summer and the Walkway of Lights in December, and Oktoberfest is what’s filled it in. It’s one of the newer additions to the town’s event lineup, but it’s already become a genuine local favorite. Here’s what it is and what it’s like nearby.

Your Guide to Oktoberfest in Marble Falls

TLDR (Too Long; Didn’t Read): Your Guide to Oktoberfest in Marble Falls

  • Marble Falls’ Oktoberfest is a free, family-friendly fall festival held at Harmony Park in downtown Marble Falls.
  • It features local craft beer, cider, and wine, live music, cornhole and a stein-holding contest, plus Oktoberfest-themed crafts and activities for kids.
  • The event benefits the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes, giving it a genuine community-fundraising purpose beyond the festival itself.
  • It’s a relatively new addition to Marble Falls’ calendar, filling the gap between LakeFest in early summer and the Walkway of Lights in December.
  • Because it’s centered on a single downtown park, it’s a smaller, more contained event than LakeFest or the Bluebonnet Festival in nearby Burnet.

What Oktoberfest Actually Is

Marble Falls’ Oktoberfest is a free, family-friendly event held at Harmony Park, at the corner of 3rd and Main Street in downtown Marble Falls. It typically starts around mid-morning and runs through the day, with local craft beer, ciders, and wines available alongside food, live music, and hands-on activities. It’s newer than Marble Falls’ other big annual events — it doesn’t have the multi-decade history of LakeFest or the Walkway of Lights — but it’s found a real audience quickly, in part because it benefits a genuinely local cause: the Boys & Girls Club of the Highland Lakes.

What Happens at the Festival

The festival leans into the Oktoberfest theme without taking itself too seriously: cornhole tournaments, a stein-holding contest, and craft and hands-on activities aimed at kids alongside the beer and wine tasting for adults. Live local bands play throughout the day, and because it’s centered on one downtown park rather than spread across the town, it has a more contained, neighborhood-block-party feel than Marble Falls’ bigger annual events.

What It’s Like Living in Marble Falls During Oktoberfest

Because Harmony Park is a relatively compact downtown space, Oktoberfest doesn’t create anything close to the traffic and parking pressure that LakeFest does. If you live within walking distance of downtown Marble Falls, you’ll notice extra foot traffic and live music carrying a few blocks for the day, but it’s a manageable, single-day event rather than a multi-day regional draw. For residents, it functions as one more low-key reason to walk downtown on a fall weekend, and a fundraiser worth showing up for even if beer and cornhole aren’t your thing.

What to Consider If You’re Buying in Marble Falls

Oktoberfest itself isn’t going to move a real estate decision on its own, but it’s part of a bigger pattern worth knowing about Marble Falls:

  • The calendar keeps growing. Between MayFest, LakeFest, Oktoberfest, and the Walkway of Lights, Marble Falls’ event calendar has real depth across all four seasons — not just one big annual weekend.
  • Downtown walkability. If being able to walk to events like this matters, that narrows which Marble Falls neighborhoods make the most sense.
  • It’s still the region’s hub. Marble Falls carries the hospital and most of the area’s retail and services, which matters regardless of which specific festival draws you to the town.
  • A lower-key alternative to LakeFest or AquaBoom. If you want the community-event feel of the Highland Lakes without the scale of a 10,000-visitor weekend, Oktoberfest is a good example of what that looks like.
