Hawkes Landing is in Leander, off the 183A tollway near the Capital Metro rail station, with Devine Lake Park’s entrance sitting right off the neighborhood. It’s mostly midsize homes at more approachable price points than a lot of Leander’s newer master-planned communities, including a fair number of newer-construction properties, which makes it a common stop for buyers who want easy rail and highway access without the premium that comes with the bigger gated developments nearby.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I work with buyers throughout Leander, including here in Hawkes Landing.
Getting around from Hawkes Landing
The Capital Metro Leander station is one of the bigger draws here if you commute into Austin — it’s a shorter drive to the rail line than from most of Leander’s neighborhoods farther west. 183A gets you south into Cedar Park and Austin fairly quickly, and Devine Lake Park is close enough to walk to from a lot of the streets in the neighborhood.
The community has an active homeowners association that maintains common areas, and there’s been ongoing new construction here in recent years, including builder-run sections, alongside the earlier-built resale inventory. That combination is part of why Hawkes Landing tends to have more variety in home age and price than a single-builder subdivision does.
What’s available in Hawkes Landing
Because this is more of a midsize-home neighborhood than a luxury or acreage community, it tends to appeal to first-time buyers and anyone who wants new-construction options without paying Leander’s higher-end prices. If Hawkes Landing doesn’t have the right fit when you’re ready to buy, I’d also point you toward nearby County Glen, Honeycomb Hills, or Horizon Park, all a short drive away with a similar mix of home sizes.
