First Time Buyers – Buying Your First Home

Buying your first home is exciting, but it comes with a lot of decisions and some real uncertainty. Whether you’re relocating, starting fresh, or moving out of a rental, I can help you navigate it. At Uncommon Realty, my team and I work with first-time buyers regularly, and if you’re not ready to buy yet, I can also help you look at properties for lease.

Why First-Time Buyers Need the Right Team

The first-time buying process doesn’t have to be overwhelming, but without the right guidance it can be. From reading contracts to evaluating competing offers, this isn’t a market to go into unprepared. I don’t believe in cookie-cutter advice – I start by understanding what you actually want and build a plan around it.

My Background

As a REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, I’ve spent decades in this business, and I also train other agents nationally as a real estate instructor and speaker. When you work with me, you’re getting the same insight I teach to other agents, not a watered-down version of it.

What You’ll Get

  • Decades of experience applied directly to your purchase
  • A plan built around your goals, timeline, and budget
  • A clear roadmap of what to expect at each stage
  • Guidance on both homes for sale and properties for lease, so you can compare paths before committing

What to Actually Look For

Buying your first home isn’t just about finding four walls and a roof – it’s understanding whether the price makes sense, what the inspection turns up, and whether a “great deal” really is one. I walk clients through each of those decisions so nothing catches you off guard later.

Not Ready to Buy Yet? That’s Fine

Maybe you’re testing out neighborhoods or figuring out what a monthly payment would actually look like. I’m just as happy to help you explore properties for lease while you get your bearings – there’s no pressure to buy before you’re ready.

Make the Move When You’re Ready

When you decide to buy your first home, I’ll walk you through a process built around your situation, not a generic script. Let’s start with a conversation – no pressure, just information.
