Crystal Falls Homes For Sale

Crystal Falls is one of Leander’s most established master-planned communities, built around Crystal Falls Golf Club along Crystal Falls Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. It spans more than 5,000 acres of rolling Hill Country terrain and has grown into more than 2,000 homes across several distinct named sections, including The Fairways, The Highlands, The Boulders, Cap Rock, and Grand Mesa. Each one has its own character, so there’s a genuine range of home ages, lot sizes, and price points inside one community. Search the current Crystal Falls listings below, and reach out anytime if you want help comparing sections.

Living in Crystal Falls

The neighborhood sits on rolling Hill Country terrain, and the mature trees and landscaping in the older sections are hard to match in newer Williamson County developments. That’s part of the trade-off buyers make for a settled community over brand-new construction. Amenities include a tennis court, sand volleyball court, a fishing pond, playscapes, two community pools, a disc golf course, and hiking trails, on top of the 18-hole golf club itself. Kids here attend Leander ISD schools, mostly Whitestone or Winkley Elementary (with some sections zoned to Knowles Elementary), then Running Brushy Middle or Leander Middle, and Leander High School.

Crystal Falls sits about 24 miles from downtown Austin, and the 183A toll road is the fastest route in, putting downtown around 30 to 35 minutes away in normal traffic. That’s a real commute, but it’s also what keeps prices here more approachable than golf-course communities closer to Austin. A homeowners’ association maintains the shared amenities across the community, and each individual section can carry its own additional dues on top of that for section-specific amenities.

Crystal Falls’ named sections

Development started in the early 2000s around the golf club, and the community has been recognized as one of the Austin area’s top master-planned communities ever since. What you’ll find varies a lot depending on which section you’re looking at.

The Fairways is a gated section built directly along the golf course, with homes ranging from modest golf-course lots up to larger custom builds. The Highlands has its own amenity center and Winkley Elementary sits right inside the neighborhood, so a lot of families there walk their kids to school. Grand Mesa is the gated, custom-home section on the larger acreage lots, with no streetlights and genuinely dark night skies. Beyond those three, The Boulders and Cap Rock round out the community with their own smaller pockets of housing.

That range means you can find anything from a golf-course lot with mature landscaping to a newer custom build on multiple acres, all inside the same overall community. It’s worth walking a few sections before deciding which one actually fits what you’re after.

Crystal Falls compared to nearby communities

Larkspur, another MileStone-built community off the 183A corridor, is the closest comparison if you’re weighing Crystal Falls against a newer, single-builder neighborhood in the same part of Leander. The trade-off is mostly age and character: Crystal Falls gives you established trees and a golf course, Larkspur gives you newer construction and a more uniform build. Worth walking both before you decide which fits.

Buying or selling in Crystal Falls

If you’re getting ready to buy, I’ve put together a full breakdown of what it’s like working with me across Crystal Falls as a whole community. If you’re weighing a sale, I also have a page specifically on selling your Crystal Falls home, since pricing and marketing here work differently than in a typical subdivision.
