Flintrock Falls is a guard-gated community off Highway 620 and Flint Rock Road in Lakeway, about 20 miles from downtown Austin. It’s been around since the late 1990s and has roughly 400 custom homes on lots running from a quarter-acre up to three-quarters of an acre, plus the gated Escavera section for larger estate lots. Architectural styles lean upscale Mediterranean and Hill Country stone, and many homes back up to the Flintrock Falls golf course, a Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole course that’s part of The Hills Country Club.

How Flintrock Falls compares to nearby Lakeway communities
Membership at The Hills Country Club isn’t automatic just from owning here, so if golf access is the main draw, it’s worth confirming club status before you fall in love with a specific house. If you want gated privacy without the golf-club price tag, Serene Hills is a newer, more affordable gated option in Lakeway. Buyers who want water access more than golf tend to look at Rough Hollow on Lake Travis, and The Hills is Lakeway’s other established golf community if Flintrock Falls’ inventory is thin when you’re shopping.
If you’d like to see everything currently on the market across Lakeway, not just Flintrock Falls, I keep a running list on my Lakeway homes for sale page. Reach out anytime and I’ll walk you through what’s available, what’s coming, and how to position an offer in a market like this one.
