Lake Ridge is the section of Rough Hollow closest to the marina, tucked onto a cove of Lake Travis in Lakeway. It’s gated, the lots are set into the hillside for lake and Hill Country views, and residents get direct access to the Rough Hollow Yacht Club & Marina down the road. If you’re looking at Lake Ridge on Rough Hollow homes for sale, you’re looking at one of the more established, higher-end pockets inside Rough Hollow.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Managing Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I work with buyers and sellers in Rough Hollow and the rest of Lakeway regularly.
Living in Lake Ridge on Rough Hollow
Rough Hollow is Lakeway’s 1,800-acre master-planned community along more than three miles of Lake Travis shoreline, and Lake Ridge sits right by the water. Residents here have full access to the Rough Hollow Yacht Club & Marina — nearly 300 boat and jet-ski slips, a tram down to the docks, a fitness center, an infinity pool, and the Canyon Grille restaurant on site. It’s the kind of amenity package that sets Rough Hollow apart from other Lakeway subdivisions that don’t sit directly on the lake.
Lake Ridge falls in Lake Travis ISD, zoned to Serene Hills Elementary, Lake Travis Middle School, and Lake Travis High School. Homes in this section tend to run smaller-lot and lock-and-leave compared to the custom estates further into Rough Hollow, which makes it a fit for buyers who want the marina lifestyle without the acreage upkeep.
How Lake Ridge Compares to Other Lakeway Options
If lake access matters more to you than golf, Lake Ridge and the rest of Serene Hills are the two Rough Hollow neighborhoods I show most often. If you’d rather be near the water without the marina price premium, I’d also have you look at Edgewater, another Lake Travis-adjacent Lakeway neighborhood. And if golf course frontage matters more than boat access, The Hills in Lakeway is worth a look too. I can walk you through the tradeoffs on all of them — start with the full Lakeway TX overview if you want the bigger picture first.
