Celebrating Good Friday: Many Real Estate Agents Are Still Working to Represent Their Clients

March 29, 2024 by Robbie English, REALTOR, Broker, ABR, AHWD, BBA, C2EX, CRB, E-PRO, GRI, MRP, PSA, RENE, RPR, SFR, SRS, TAHS, TBS, TLS 1 Comment

It’s Good Friday. Easter weekend is here. For many people, this means unplugging, recharging, and sharing a meal or a quiet afternoon. But for those of us in real estate—especially those of us serious about delivering results—it’s another opportunity to show up for our clients. Yes, even now, real estate agents are representing their clients on holidays.

We don’t switch off just because the calendar says it’s a holiday. The real estate agent schedule isn’t built on convenience; it’s built around client needs. I know this firsthand. I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty. I’ve built my career not on waiting for deals to happen, but by being present, prepared, and proactive—no matter the date on the calendar.

Real Estate Agents Are Representing Their Clients on holidays

TL;DR – Real Estate Agents Are Representing Their Clients on Holidays

  1. Real estate agents work holidays—including Good Friday and Easter—because their clients need them, not because they “have to.”
  2. The real estate agent schedule is anything but typical, requiring responsiveness on nights, weekends, and holidays.
  3. Robbie English and his team lead by example, offering expert guidance backed by decades of experience and national teaching credentials.
  4. Despite public misconceptions, top-tier agents like Robbie continue to serve with strategy, purpose, and dedication.
  5. Don’t underestimate the value of professional representation, especially when timing and experience can make or break a deal.

This Job Doesn’t Take Days Off

The misconception that real estate agents only work when it’s convenient or during typical office hours has lingered for years. It’s a narrative rooted in misunderstanding. The truth is, most of us are fielding questions, negotiating offers, opening doors, and prepping homes for showings during the very times most people are resting.

That’s not a complaint—it’s a choice.

Our clients don’t plan their major life decisions around bank hours. Buying or selling a home is often driven by personal timelines, and those don’t slow down on holidays. That’s why real estate agents are representing their clients on holidays—because that’s when people need us most.

The Commitment Behind the Curtain

From the outside, it might look like we’re just opening doors and exchanging handshakes. But behind every showing on Easter Sunday is a flurry of activity. There’s coordination with other agents. There’s strategic timing, careful messaging, last-minute staging, and ongoing market analysis.

This is where experience matters.

With decades in the industry, I’ve come to learn that results come from consistency, not convenience. My team and I don’t wait for the right moment—we create it. That’s what makes working with us different. We’re not following a playbook handed to every new agent. We’ve written our own and fine-tuned it through real-world performance.

When the timing is critical—and it often is—having the right guide can be the difference between getting what you want or missing it entirely.

Why the Real Estate Agent Schedule Looks Different

If you’re wondering why a real estate agent schedule looks like it’s always open, it’s because success in this profession demands it. We’re not just managing calendars—we’re managing transitions. Life changes. New chapters. Critical moves.

And when the opportunity to buy or sell hits, you need someone who understands the pace. Who picks up the phone. Who answers the text. Who knows how to turn momentum into closing papers. That’s not just about working holidays. It’s about showing up when others don’t.

It’s also why I teach other agents across the country. As a national real estate speaker and instructor, I spend time with real estate professionals from coast to coast, helping them raise the bar. The things I teach—I live them. That knowledge gets passed directly to my clients. No fluff, no filler, just strategy.

Turning Criticism Into Fuel

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. You’ve probably seen posts online dragging agents over commission rates or dismissing our profession as one anyone can do. Social media can be quick to judge—and slow to understand.

Yes, there’s criticism. But I don’t run from it. Neither does my team. Instead, we lean in harder. We stay sharp. We improve systems. We build better experiences for our clients. That’s why we’re still here while so many others burn out or fade away.

We know the value we bring. We understand how complex this process can be. And we work through that complexity competently and confidently.

Real Estate Is Personal, and That’s the Point

Real estate isn’t about square footage and property taxes. It’s about people. It’s about timing. It’s about understanding what this move means in your life—and how to make sure it actually happens.

Real estate agents don’t just sell houses. We usher people through life changes with clarity and care. On weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. And yes, on Good Friday, too.

That’s what it means when we say real estate agents are representing their clients on holidays. We’re not just available—we’re invested. My team and I show up, even when others are logging off.

Because when you’re buying your first home, relocating for work, or trying to sell quickly before your next move, you don’t have time to wait for “normal hours.” And frankly, neither do we.

Choose Strategy, Not Convenience

Not all agents are created equal. If you want someone who answers the phone but struggles to offer strategic insight, you’ve got options. But if you want someone who’s engineered their business around delivering real results, that’s where I come in.

I’ve studied the industry deeply, both to improve my performance and to share that knowledge with others. The agents you see succeeding today? There’s a good chance I’ve had a hand in helping them get there.

And that same advantage? You get it when you work with me. You get a guide who’s already handled every kind of curveball, who sees the market several steps ahead, and who treats your transaction like it’s the only one on their desk.

Because in that moment, it is.

Working Holidays Isn’t a Burden. It’s a Standard.

I don’t work holidays because I missed the memo on boundaries. I work holidays because people are counting on me. I work them because I want to, because I know the edge it gives my clients.

Plenty of agents clock out. That’s their choice. But if you’re looking for someone who stays in the game and plays to win, I’m here.

We’ve all heard the line: “Real estate can wait.” The truth? It can’t. Not if you want to move with purpose. Not if you want results. And definitely not if you want to stay competitive.

My clients understand this. That’s why they work with me—and why they refer others.

A Final Word on Dedication

This weekend might be filled with brunches and egg hunts. And that’s wonderful. But as buyers walk through new listings and sellers await the next showing request, real estate keeps moving. And we keep working.

Not because we’re machines. But because we care.

Because we know that deals don’t pause just because it’s Friday.

Because real estate agents are representing their clients on holidays, and the best ones—like me and my team—do it with intention.

We don’t just show up. We deliver.

If that’s the kind of agent you want, you’ve found him.

And yes—I’ll take your call this Easter weekend.

Let’s make your next move the best one yet.
