Anderson Mill is one of the older, larger communities in Cedar Park, and Whitestone Oaks at Anderson Mill is a smaller pocket inside it, built out between 2008 and 2015 by Brohn Homes, Highland Homes, and Centerra Homes. It’s a close-knit little section with its own community pool and two shaded playgrounds, and Cedar Park’s Veterans Memorial Park — home to one of the city’s nicest public pools — is just around the corner.
I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and I’ve worked this part of Cedar Park long enough to know which streets in Whitestone Oaks sit closest to the community amenities and how this pocket compares to the bigger Anderson Mill neighborhood around it.
Schools and getting around
Whitestone Oaks falls in Leander ISD, zoned to Mason Elementary, Running Brushy Middle School, and Leander High School. The broader Anderson Mill community has its own community center, pools, and sports courts that residents can use in addition to what’s inside Whitestone Oaks, and you’re close enough to US 183 and 183A to reach the rest of Cedar Park or head into Austin without much of a drive.
How it compares to nearby Cedar Park neighborhoods
Whitestone Oaks is small and quiet compared to some of Cedar Park’s bigger subdivisions. While you’re searching, I’d also point you toward Wilson Trace and Walsh Trails, both a few minutes away, or West Ridge if you want to be closer to 183A. For everything currently on the market across the city, my Cedar Park homes for sale page has the full list.
What buying or selling here looks like
Because Whitestone Oaks went up in that 2008-2015 window, you’re generally looking at newer construction standards than the older sections of Anderson Mill nearby — things like more consistent insulation and updated code compliance. If you’re selling here, that build era is worth highlighting; if you’re buying, it’s worth asking which builder put up a specific house, since Brohn, Highland, and Centerra each have their own quirks in floor plans and finish quality. I’m happy to pull the permit and builder history on any specific address before you make an offer.
