Lohmans Crossing Estates is one of Lakeway’s older established neighborhoods, built out mostly between the late 1980s and early 2000s, which means you’ll find a real mix of hill country-style, craftsman, and Mediterranean homes rather than a single production builder’s floor plan repeated block after block. Home sizes range widely too, anywhere from about 1,500 to 4,800 square feet, so it’s worth being specific about what you actually need before you start touring.

Schools and lake access
Lohmans Crossing Estates falls in Lake Travis ISD, zoned to Serene Hills Elementary, Hudson Bend Middle, and Lake Travis High School. What sets this neighborhood apart from a lot of Lakeway is the lake access: residents get a private 10-acre park on Hurst Creek Cove with a residents-only boat ramp, day dock, and dry dock storage, on top of a community pool and tennis courts. Lake Travis itself is just a few blocks away, and you’re about 3 miles from Lakeway Marina and 4 miles from both Lakeway Regional Medical Center and the Oaks at Lakeway shopping center.
What to watch for when you buy here
Because the neighborhood developed over a couple of decades rather than all at once, lot size, layout, and how much work a given home has had done to it vary a lot more than in a newer subdivision. I’ll walk through drainage, roof age, and resale positioning with you on any home you’re seriously considering, since those aren’t always obvious from photos.
