Leander TX Homes For Sale | Leander TX Real Estate

Leander sits just north of Austin and it’s one of the fastest-growing markets I work in — new construction subdivisions, several large master-planned communities, and a lot of buyers who want more house and more land than they can get closer to the city without giving up an easy commute. Homes here run from townhomes up through custom estates on acreage, so there’s a real range depending on your budget and what you’re looking for.

I’m Robbie English, broker at Uncommon Realty — here’s more about me.

TL;DR: Leander, TX homes for sale

  1. Leander sits about 27 miles northwest of downtown Austin in Williamson County, with the Capital MetroRail Red Line’s northern terminus in town.
  2. Housing spans townhomes and starter homes up through custom estates, with master-planned communities like Travisso, Crystal Falls, and Bryson driving most of the newer inventory.
  3. Leander ISD is one of the fastest-growing districts in the state, running 42 campuses across roughly 200 square miles.
  4. Cedar Park is right next door for shopping and dining that hasn’t built out in Leander itself yet.
  5. I’ve worked this market for years and can walk you through which neighborhoods, builders, and price points actually fit what you need.

What it’s like to live in Leander, TX

Leander has grown fast over the past decade but it’s kept a welcoming, small-town feel. It’s a good fit for buyers who want suburban space and quiet without giving up easy access to Austin.

Traffic is lighter here than in Austin’s core, there are parks and trails throughout the city, and you generally don’t have to drive far for dining or shopping. The city has put real effort into walkability and making day-to-day errands easy to get to.

Types of homes available in Leander, TX

Leander homes for sale span a wide range of styles and price points, whether you want something move-in ready or a custom build.

  • New construction homes – Leander has seen a lot of new development, with modern floor plans, energy-efficient features, and amenities like pools, walking trails, and community centers built into many of the newer neighborhoods.
  • Master-planned communities – Developments like Travisso, Crystal Falls, and Bryson offer a mix of home styles with amenities such as golf courses, resort-style pools, and greenbelt views.
  • Luxury homes – Buyers looking for something bigger will find estates with acreage, custom architecture, and high-end finishes.
  • Townhomes & condos – For a lower-maintenance option, Leander has well-designed townhomes with modern layouts.

The best communities and neighborhoods in Leander

A few communities worth knowing about:

  • Travisso – A luxury community with scenic views, Tuscan-inspired architecture, and top-tier amenities.
  • Crystal Falls – Known for its golf course, with everything from more affordable homes to high-end estates.
  • Bryson – A newer master-planned community built around green spaces and community events.
  • Bar W Ranch – Modern homes at competitive prices in a growing part of town.
  • Savanna Ranch – A mix of traditional and contemporary homes with good access to local amenities.
  • Timberline West – One of Leander’s older neighborhoods, dating back to 1961, with larger lots, no HOA, and a real mix of home ages if you want an established feel instead of a brand-new subdivision.

Shopping, dining, and entertainment in and around Leander

Leander’s commercial growth has kept pace with the housing boom, and Cedar Park is right next door for anything not yet built out locally.

  • Shopping: 1890 Ranch and The Parke shopping centers in Cedar Park cover most major retailers, and boutique shopping is expanding in Leander itself.
  • Dining: Options range from casual barbecue to upscale. Local favorites include Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill and Mouton’s Bistro.
  • Entertainment: Live music, local breweries, and seasonal events keep things lively, and the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park hosts concerts and sports events year-round.

Outdoor recreation and green spaces

If you spend a lot of time outdoors, Leander has you covered between parks, trails, and nearby lake access.

  • Lake Travis: A short drive away, good for boating, fishing, and waterfront dining.
  • Southwest Williamson County Regional Park: Miles of trails, sports fields, and picnic areas.
  • Devine Lake Park: A good spot for kayaking, fishing, and just relaxing by the water.

Leander sits about 27 miles northwest of downtown Austin in Williamson County, and the Leander Station on the Capital MetroRail Red Line gives commuters a way into downtown that skips 183 traffic entirely. Leander ISD serves the city and is one of the fastest-growing districts in the state, running 42 campuses across a 200-square-mile area. The neighborhoods vary a lot in age and size — Mason Hills is a newer, 330-acre community built out by seven different builders on the old Mason Ranch land, while Ridgewood North is smaller and older, with mature trees and around 200 residents near Block House Creek and Crystal Falls Park. You’re not stuck picking between old Leander and new Leander — there’s real variety to choose from.

Working with me in Leander

Leander is growing fast, and pricing and inventory shift quickly depending on the neighborhood and builder. I’ve spent years working this market, and I can help you figure out which communities, builders, and price points actually fit what you need — whether this is your first home or you’ve done this before.

If you’d like to talk through the Leander market or see homes in person, reach out and I’ll help you get started.
