I also want to know the rental-cap policy if you might ever lease the unit, and how many units in the building are owner-occupied versus investor-owned — that ratio affects both your lender’s approval and your resale pool down the road.

Location Trade-Offs Worth Understanding

This part of Austin puts you close to River Place and the hill country to the west, with a straightforward MoPac commute toward Austin’s tech employers to the south and east. You give up walkable retail that you’d get in a more urban building downtown, but you gain quieter streets, more mature trees, and generally lower HOA dues than a comparable downtown high-rise.
