What It’s Like Working With Robbie to Sell in Jonestown

Jonestown is a small North Shore community on Lake Travis, and depending on which street you’re on, your address falls into either Lago Vista ISD or Leander ISD. When you’re deciding who to trust with a listing here, I think trust is less about a résumé and more about how someone actually communicates with you once you’re under contract. I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty, and here’s what working with me actually looks like day to day.

TL;DR: Trusted Listing Agents for Jonestown

  • I handle your listing personally, from the first walkthrough to closing, rather than handing you off to a team member once the sign goes up.
  • You’ll hear from me with real showing feedback, not a generic weekly check-in email.
  • If something changes, an offer falls through, an inspection turns up an issue, I tell you directly and walk through the actual options.
  • I’m a REALTOR and Broker, meaning I carry direct responsibility for your transaction rather than reporting to someone else.

What I mean by handling it personally

A lot of larger teams route sellers through an assistant or a junior agent once the listing is live. I don’t do that. I’m the one doing your walkthrough, writing your listing description, and fielding calls from buyers’ agents, so you’re never explaining your situation to someone new partway through the process.

How I communicate once you’re under contract

After each showing, I pass along real feedback, not just a generic “it went well.” If a buyer had a specific concern about price, condition, or something structural, you should know that, even when it’s not what you want to hear, because it’s the information that lets us adjust before a listing sits too long. Once an offer comes in, I walk you through the actual terms, not just the number on top, so you’re deciding with the full picture.

What happens when something goes sideways

Inspections turn up issues. Appraisals sometimes come in under contract price. Financing occasionally falls through late. None of that is unusual, but how you find out about it matters. I tell you as soon as I know, along with what your realistic options actually are, rather than letting you find out secondhand or after a decision’s already been made for you.

Why the North Shore is its own market

Jonestown sits east of Lago Vista on Lake Travis, and its buyer pool is narrower and more specific than a typical Austin-area listing, lake buyers, second-home shoppers, and people drawn to communities like The Hollows. An agent who only occasionally works this stretch of the lake is more likely to misjudge both pricing and the kind of communication that a slower-moving market actually calls for.
