Mason Ranch is a Leander neighborhood in the 78641 zip code, built out in several phases over the years, which is why you’ll see listings referencing sections like Ph 1 Sec 2 or Ph 1 Sec 5 when you search for homes here. I’m Robbie English, REALTOR and Broker at Uncommon Realty.
Living in Mason Ranch
Mason Ranch is zoned to Leander ISD and sits close enough to Austin that a downtown commute is realistic, while still giving you the Hill Country scenery and hiking trails that draw people to this side of Leander in the first place. You’ve got H-E-B and Randalls grocery stores nearby along with the usual mix of restaurants and shopping you’d expect this close to US-183 and the 183A Toll Road corridor. It’s a straightforward suburban neighborhood, not a resort-style master-planned community, so if you want amenities like a golf course or a clubhouse, I’d point you toward Crystal Falls instead, a few minutes away.
What the homes look like
Homes in Mason Ranch are mostly single-family builds from the 2010s and 2020s, with the usual mix of one and two-story floor plans, covered porches, and standard suburban lots you’d expect in a newer Central Texas subdivision. Because Mason Ranch was built out in multiple sections over several years, listings from earlier phases and the newest phase can look and price noticeably different even on the same street, so I always pull the plat and phase for a specific address before we compare it against something else in the neighborhood.
If you’re comparing options nearby, take a look at North Creek, North Creek Ranch, Northline, and Marbella, all a short drive from here.
